We're happy to introduce Christian Miguel, our Marketing Project Manager APAC. At Wings4U, Christian is responsible for the coordination and management of resources in order to create content in the region up to our quality standards.
Why this role, and why Wings4U?
I've been a Marketing Project Manager in the Philippines for almost ten years. I would say that it's already part of my identity. I tend to apply the skills and lessons I've learned as a PM to my personal life.
What's good about being a project manager is you pick up bits of skills, creativity, and personality from various special, talented, and creative people you've worked with that somehow add to your individuality. It also taught you valuable lessons with every success and setback. I also realized that this career teaches me to become both a leader and a follower, which sums up who I am now.
When an opportunity from Wings4U came, I prayed for it and grabbed it. A dream of mine is to practice internationally/outside the Philippines, which Wings4U offers. Apart from that, I also believe that I will grow more at Wings4U, not only as a Project/Production Manager but as an individual. As our mission statement goes, "We exist to give Wings to our clients and each other, so that we design better lives and businesses."
Do you have any experiences worth raving about?
I have nothing that is highly notable because I've always been a behind-the-scenes guy. So, I'm just ecstatic about everything I have accomplished with the people I have worked with, personally or professionally.
What makes you tick? What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about sharing my testimony and the Gospel to the people who are willing and ready to listen. It also brings me great joy to disciple other men and grow together as followers of Christ.
I love being one with nature, so nature tripping, hiking, island hopping, and whatnot are my thing. It's a way of appreciating God's creation. I always say that God blessed us with the gift of life and the best places to spend it.
What’s your favourite quote?
It’s actually a verse. It’s Galatians 2:20 (NASB) - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
What’s your favourite music / bands?
I love listening to Christian music. Locally, it’s Exalt Worship and Victory Worship. Internationally, it’s for KING & COUNTRY, Citipointe Worship, and Planetshakers.
Which book and movie would you recommend to everyone?
Of course, the Bible. No words can describe how much this book transformed and continuously transforming me to be the best in every aspect of life. Other books are: The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, My Heart Christ’s Home by Robert Boyd Munger, and Atomic Habits by James Clear.
It’s not a movie, but a series. It’s The Chosen Series. Okay, well, if movie, it would be Facing the Giants and Narnia Trilogy.If you could go to dinner with anyone (alive or not), who would it be and why?
I would say Jesus, but if it would be a man, I love to have dinner with Paul the Apostle because I look up to him as one of the most intentional servants of God. It would be amazing to hear his testimony and stories verbally, like how Jesus revealed Himself to him and bring radical change to his life.
