We're happy to introduce Daria Kachan, our Marketing Project Manager EMEA. At Wings4U, Daria is responsible for the coordination and management of resources in order to create content in the region up to our quality standards.
Why this role, and why Wings4U?
Working with creative people is something that has always inspired me. It is great to observe how
during the creative sessions, discussions, hard work, and iterations something cool is born. I felt the
atmosphere of Wings4U from the first interview and thought that it could be the place where I can find
great challenges, fun and creativity. I think that this role will let me be in the heart of the content
creation process and give me an opportunity to build effective communication between teams and
clients.
Do you have any experiences worth raving about?
I worked a lot with digital design and I’m a fan of cool animated stories, I’ve released various 2D and
3D projects so I know how to create a 2 min animated video from scratch in 2 weeks and not go
out of my mind (note: please don’t repeat this in real life).
As for the personal thing, you should know about me: I can do a leg-split while asleep (my
gymnastics coach had no mercy on anyone).
What makes you tick? What are you passionate about?
I think that indifference may be the thing that I hate. It is beyond my understanding of how
can something be done without any emotions and willing to progress. Working with disinterested
people could be really hard as you have no touch points in common, can’t exchange working energy
and share the motivation.
I am passionate about making an impact and realizing that your actions can be helpful. That inspires
me to do even more as we all are in charge of making not only our lives better, but to improve all the
world around us. Be the game-changer, - that’s who I’m trying to become.
What’s your favourite quote?
“If not me then who” - it is the motto of the youth NGO where I and hundreds young leaders
are aimed to improve our society and environment performing community services. This great phrase
helps do the trick when I have any doubts and sets the feeling that everything is possible.
What’s your favourite music / bands?
Usually my playlist is a mix of various genres and you never know what comes next: hard
rock or chill track. But I can say for sure that my heart belongs to bands such as: AnnenMayKantereit,
Florence + the Machine, and Coldplay.
Which book and movie would you recommend to everyone?
My favourite writer is Jonathan Safran Foer, I adore his “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close”
and “Everything Is Illuminated”. He has such unique style of narration and his ability to get to the very
deep with words is terrific.
To find inspiration I would recommend “To Pixar and Beyond” by Lawrence Levy. This book gives
a hope that even through the hard times there is always place for the creativity and amazing
storytelling.
If you could go to dinner with anyone (alive or not), who would it be and why?
I would like to meet aliens from Mars and ask if they are okay having humanity as neighbours
in the next decades and if we can be friends with them. If the coversation goes well I hope they can
share some cool stories about space and their cosmic adventures.
